Capcom News!

Hey Gamers! We got a lot of news about Capcom today!
So as you all know I am a huge fan of Capcom games, like I honestly debated about getting an Xbox One after seeing the new DLC for Dead Rising 3, and if you haven't seen it the video is below.

So yeah the video has a lot of humor in it, mostly towards Capcom themselves. I really want to play Dead Rising 3 especially when I found out that there is an unlockable Megaman Costume in the game without the DLC. Well enough side tracking, time for the real news!

So first off we got a list of games that will be coming to the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console library.

  • Breath of Fire (Wii U)
  • Demon's Crest (Wii U)
  • Gargoyle's Quest (3DS, Wii U)
  • Mega Man 5 (Wii U)
  • Mega Man 6 (Wii U)
  • Mega Man 7 (Wii U)
  • Mega Man X3 (Wii U)
  • Mega Man Zero (Wii U)
  • Mega Man Battle Network (Wii U)
  • Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge (Wii U)
  • Mighty Final Fight (3DS, Wii U)
  • Street Fighter 2010 (3DS, Wii U)

This is huge because there are tons of Mega Man games involved in this. I am super excited about the Battle Network games because I used to watch the tv show a lot when I was younger and I also missed out on these games because I thought they were stupid cause they weren't original Mega Man gameplay but I got Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue last summer and I am currently really enjoying it, so I am looking forward to getting the whole game story. Also since they are releasing Nintendo DS games on Wii U soon we can hopefully look forward to the Star Force games. Also maybe... just maybe we will see a return of the Mega Man Battle Network toys, like the Advanced Pet. I'd love to have one of these.

Okay here is the next bit of information about Capcom. Capcom shareholders have voted to end their takeover defense. The takeover defense was set up in 2008; it was a series of strategies designed to prevent outside companies from buying a majority of Capcom's stock which opens up the company to potential buyers. So what does this mean, well it means that potential buyers would gain exclusive rights to important franchises and these include games like Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter, Mega Man and even Vietful Joe. Yes that is right, now if a company want to own the rights to make games under a Capcom franchise they could do it now. Does this mean Nintendo will buy Mega Man and give him the attention he deserves? Does this mean we will see a return of Vietful Joe? We can only hope right?

What do you guys think? Leave your responses below and remember to keep playing!
