The veteran game creator Yoshio Sakamoto who helped in the creation of the Metroid games has recently announced in a recent interview that he would like to work on newer game ideas instead of revisiting old ones. Other games he helped create were Rhythm Heaven and the WarioWare titles and his newest creations Tomodachi Life. This is does not mean an end to the Metroid series, but this could mean that a new company could start work on a new Metroid game. I know that Team Ninja worked on Other M, but that game kind of tanked. One company I would really love to see make a Metroid game would be Bungie, 343 Industries or Insomniac because all three of these companies have worked with space themed games and I feel like they could all do well. Bungie would be the ideal company to make a Metroid game and they could even re-invent an suitable online system. 343 Industries would be good too because they created Halo 4 which was a decent title in the Halo series. And lastly Insomniac has created games like Ratchet and Clank along with Resistance so I feel like they could do good with it, the art style would be amazing if they did it.
