Animal Crossing New Leaf

Hello again fellow nerds and gamers! Lately I've been reviewing older games on the Nintendo Entertainment System and The Super Nintendo, well today I' going to take a huge leap forward to the modern day and I'm going to write about Animal Crossing New Leaf for the Nintendo 3DS! My 3DS Friend Code is: 0688-5354-1591

Animal Crossing first started in America on the Gamecube with Animal Crossing which was a strange take for a Nintendo game. There wasn't much of a story line and the objectives were more personal than forced to continue on in the game. The gameplay consisted of walking around talking to animal neighbors and becoming friends with them, going to store to buy furniture to put into your small house, catching fish and bugs to sell or put into the museum and digging up fossils. The overall point was to make enough Bells (money) to pay of your house debt so that you could then upgrade it to a bigger house so that you would have a bigger debt to pay off. This is the system in which every college kid should be aware of, to get anywhere in life you need to get farther in debt so that you have more debt to pay back (I'm referring to students loans to pay the ridiculous price of college). In order to earn Bells you could do chores for the neighbors, sell bugs and fish that you catch, sell old furniture that you find or don't want (you can find furniture in the recycle center, police department, and in trees.) The beautiful thing about Animal Crossing is all the secrets the game contains. Since it doesn't really guide you in any direction besides to pay your house debt this means that the player gets to experience the whole world of Animal Crossing. Everyday different activities take place and sometimes there are even surprise guests. The coolest secret in Animal Crossing were the NES games that you could find. Every now and then someone would post on the town bulletin board that they have buried an item and if you can find it its yours. The item could literally be anything but if you were lucky you would dig up an NES game that you could actually play in game or on your Gameboy Advance with a Gameboy Cord for Gamecube.

With the success of Animal Crossing they made Animal Crossing Wild World for the Nintendo DS which become an instant hit with the ability to take your game on the go and to play online with friends. Then there was Animal Crossing City Folk for the Wii which improved on the game engine and introduced the City which was were all the shopping centers were and was a center for online activity. With each new game they introduced new neighbors, furniture, clothes, and even new fish and bugs to catch. Now we arrive on to the modern day with Animal Crossing New Leaf.

In every other Animal Crossing game you were just a citizen of the town that took out the same responsibilities as your neighbors but in this one you are now the mayor of this town. This lets you make public work projects that include new buildings, statues, bridges, park benches, and many more! Since this game has only been out for about a month there are still many secrets that I have no idea about. Just the other day I got the hair salon and now my T and T Mart is getting another upgrade tomorrow! I also just received Club LOL at the beginning of the week. I'm currently working on making the Reset Center which I think is a secret project that I will not reveal but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to get it. (Hint! An old fan favorite comes back in order to make it!) I just upgraded my house a third time and now I have even more house debt. My favorite thing about this game so far is Main Street and the Fortune Cookies. Main Street replaces the City in this game, this is where you will find all the stores, mail center and the museum. Also above Main Street is the StreetPass function takes place where you get to view others houses. All the past characters make a come back in this game even the Gyroid from the first one! Also in this one they introduced full customization of your character with new types of shirts, pants, hats, accessories, socks, stockings and shoes. If you are looking for a laid back game that has plenty of content I would greatly recommend this game! You will probably be hooked instantly and try hard to have the greatest town. Remember to leave friend codes in the bottom! Keep Playing! Lets'a Go!
