The Legend of Zelda

So you can obviously tell I am not doing these games in any order. I'm just doing the ones I like as of now and ones that I'm sure you'll find interesting. Today I'm going to talk about the original Zelda on the NES. As many of you know The Legend of Zelda was originally suppose to have computer chips instead of the Tri-Force and it was suppose to take place in the future and the past hence why the main character's name is Link. Before I begin my synopsis of the game I would like to state for the new Zelda games that are being made for the Nintendo 3DS (unconfirmed yet) and the Wii U (confirmed) I think they should go back to their original idea and have Link go into the future. I think with the art style of The Legend of Zelda games I think a futuristic Zelda game would look beautiful especially on the Wii U. Imagine the futuristic temples, the mix between robotic and demonic monsters, the weapons Link would have (something like a light saber I guess haha) and plus with music being such a huge aspect Link could have a synthesizer as his main instrument or something. I personally just think it would be beautiful and so much fun to play, just imagine Twilight Princess with a little more light and more futuristic look. Okay now to the synopsis.

For many of us, this was the first time Zelda stepped into our hearts as one of the greatest game series that we would ever play. The Legend of Zelda games are well known for their game play  music, characters, and story lines; Ever since Zelda 2 came out fans have ever since then predicted their own timelines and now there is an official one with the publication of the Hyrule Historia.

This game was released in America on February 21, 1986. Back when this game first came out the creators never expected it to continue on till today. The game just celebrated it's 25th anniversary and I got the chance to go to the The Legend of Zelda Symphony when they were performing and it was beautiful. The crowd was amazing, the concert spectacular, everything was awesome. And it even started to rain after the played the melody of the Song of Storms, it doesn't get more perfect than that. You start the game off in the what appears to be nowhere and there is a cave in front of you. You walk into the cave and there is a man and his famous words "It's dangerous to go alone, Take this!" And you receive the wooden sword. I remember the very first time I played the game, at the age of four, I did not go into the cave and the whole time I was thinking "Wow this game is really hard you don't even have a weapon." After getting the sword you kind of walk around randomly because the in corner map doesn't show any locations, it just shows where you are on the grid so for the first players if they didn't have a walk through they pretty much just found the dungeons on accident. The game play was fun and hard, it took me a long time to beat the game. I would always go into the wrong dungeons at the wrong times, like after beating the first one I would just walk around and stumble upon newer ones.

Again we will have more to come in later posts and for now, keep playing!
Lets'a Go!
