Hello Nerd Community! So I know that most recently I have been reviewing and blogging mostly about older SNES and NES games, well a while back I purchased a copy of Super Metroid for the SNES and I was super excited to pop in that game and play it! Sadly to my misinformation the game could not save and it couldn't hold a save file when you took the game out of the system. I have just recently purchased an 3.8 security bit and today i popped open my game and fixed it. Before that I took it to a radio shack where a guy there installed a new battery but he used regular scotch tape and I used electric tape. There are many videos out there and I will post the one that I like the most, this guy was really helpful.
(I do not own this video)
And a useful trick you can do if you do not own a security bit is that you can take a regular pen (like any old ballpoint pen) and remove the internal parts. Take just the plastic casing of the pen and a lighter and light the small end of the pen and place it on the screw while blowing through the top of the pen. This will melt the small part of the pen to fit the screw but it might take multiple attempts and remember that fire is not a toy and should be treated with caution.
Thanks for reading and remember to keep playing! Lets'a Go!
